There Are Many Advantages of Wireless Modules in Larger Equipment
Time:2022-03-14

With the development of the Internet of Things, many wireless control technologies have begun to play an important role in large-scale equipment. Especially the application of the wireless module makes the wireless control technology not only improves the safety and convenience of the crane operation, but also realizes the complex operation of the crane. Let's take a look at the advantages of using wireless modules in large equipment.

The safety of the crane is determined by factors such as insufficient rigidity of the driver's operating elements due to corrosion. In order to ensure the safety of the crane, collecting the signals of each special part of the crane is the key to solving the problem. Moreover, the structure of the crane is complex and it is not easy to wire, so the wireless connection of the signal is an effective way to solve the problem of the crane.

What problems exist in the operation of cranes? Crane cables are constantly bent during the round trip of work, so this situation can cause a significant maintenance problem. Generally, bridge cranes use flexible wire sheaths or drag chains to reduce the stress on the cables due to bending.

Others pre-wrap the cable a few times to reduce the bending of the cable. Although the above methods can improve the problems in the operation of the crane to a certain extent, there are still certain risks, so the cables still need to be replaced.

Ⅰ. How to solve the problem of the crane?

In large equipment such as cranes, wireless modules are used to replace the function of cables. No cabling directly reduces subsequent cost maintenance. Wirelessly control an overhead crane on the warehouse floor. The position of the crane is acquired by a laser displacement sensor. One measures the position in the X-axis direction, and one measures the position in the Y-axis direction.

Each sensor of reflector laser displacement outputs a signal, and this signal is connected to an analog input. The wireless device periodically collects the analog output signal to obtain the position of the bridge crane. Since both the wireless device and the 2 sensors are mounted on the mobile crane, only a small amount of cables are used to connect the I/O signals without bending.

Ⅱ. Advantages of using wireless modules

(1) The risk of collision is reduced by wireless transmission of location information, and the cost of damage due to replacement of damaged parts is reduced.

(2) There is no risk of cable damage by using the wireless module, and the maintenance cost will be greatly reduced.

(3) There is no need to lay a large number of cables during the installation of the control system.

The above are some of the problems that occur when working on large cranes, and the solutions to these problems. By using the wireless module to control the crane, you can increase safety and reduce capital costs.
